Airsoft Pistols – You Need Them In Close Encounters!

Airsoft pistols are one of the prime items for the avid Airsoft players. It helps you to tackle the situation in close encounters. Although, Airsoft rifles are the most popular weapon in an Airsoft game, you have to carry an Airsoft pistols as your side arm.

When you ‘kill’ your enemy from a distance, you can jolly well do with Airsoft rifle, but if they identify your position and charge, you can defend yourself by Airsoft pistols.

Earlier Airsoft pistols were using spring as their repellent force. Nowadays, compressed gas powered Airsoft pistols are taking their positions in the war front. Electric powered (battery operated) pistols are also available. Airsoft pistols are purchased according to their make, range, fire power (amount of bb fired per minute and capacity of magazine) and accuracy. It is also considered that whether you can customize the pistol after purchasing. Provisions of later additions and modifications should be there in an Airsoft pistol.

The gas powered Airsoft pistols use ‘Green gas’ as their propellant. This is nothing but compress propane gas. Sometimes lubricants and perfumes are added to propane to give it more realistic appearance. The battery powered Airsoft pistols has separate battery charger that has to be connected to an external power supply. One full charge can run up to 5-7 magazines.

The ammo for the Airsoft pistols is nothing different from rifle version. The gas powered Airsoft pistols usually have a low capacity in terms of ammo. It can fire up to 20-40 bbs. The battery operated pistols has three major variants – low capacity (40-80 bb), mid capacity (80-150) and high capacity (200-500+ bbs). Some advanced high end Airsoft pistols have their own external magazines which can hold up to 1000 ammo.

Most of the Airsoft pistols are made from either alloy or synthetic materials, except for the high end devices. They are made from metal giving a more real life experience.
